Website and founding offer terms
The boundaries for using this website, applying to the founding ten and interpreting the public sample and roadmap.
Approved v1.1 · 11 August 2026
Who provides ThreadGuard
ThreadGuard is a trading name of We Are Eight Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 09351999. Our registered office is The Island House, The Island, Midsomer Norton, Radstock, England, BA3 2DZ. Contact mail@threadguard.co.uk.
What the public material is
The website describes a shared building-safety workboard. The sample building, people and actions are fictional. Resources are general organisational material. The roadmap shows present direction, not a delivery date or contractual promise.
ThreadGuard organises information entered by authorised people. It does not inspect a building, choose the competent person, decide whether work is sufficient, certify an outcome or provide professional or legal advice.
Applying for a founding place
You must be at least 18 and have authority to submit information about the organisation and building. An application is a request to be considered; it does not reserve a place or create product access. Selection and activation are confirmed separately in writing.
Do not put resident names, health information, access arrangements or other sensitive personal information into the public application.
The founding-ten offer
An application or selection message does not reserve a place or create the founding entitlement. The offer begins only when an eligible building completes activation and ThreadGuard confirms that activation in writing.
- The first ten buildings to complete activation receive the core workboard for £0 for the lifetime of that building.
- Activation requires a completed building profile, a second named member and five genuine actions entered within 14 days of the activation invitation.
- If that activation window closes first, normal workboard access stops. For 30 days after the window ends, an owner or manager can prepare a bounded JSON manifest of the workboard data and record metadata after completing recent two-step verification in that exact signed-in browser session. The synchronous manifest has size and row limits and no oversize fallback is currently promised. Uploaded file contents are not included and should be downloaded separately before the activation window ends.
- The entitlement belongs to the named building address. It stays with that building if its directors or manager change, but it cannot be moved to another building.
- The founding core includes unlimited named users and 10 GB of record storage per building, subject to acceptable use.
- Optional future products, increased storage, consultancy and other separately described services are outside the free-forever promise.
The planned standard price for later buildings is £39 per building per month. Payment is not currently offered. Final paid terms, tax treatment, cancellation and any refund rules will be published before checkout opens.
Named access and acceptable use
Every person must use their own account. Do not share passwords, attempt to access another building, test the service with malicious files, overload it, scrape it, reverse engineer restricted parts, or use it for unlawful, abusive or misleading activity. You remain responsible for the people you invite and the information your team chooses to enter.
“Unlimited named users” supports genuine collaboration for the named building. It does not permit shared credentials, automated bulk accounts, resale or use for undeclared buildings. We may ask a team to reduce abusive use or suspend the affected access while it is investigated.
Product access
Founding product access is by invitation and is subject to an additional service agreement, privacy information and onboarding checks before live records are admitted. We may change pilot features as we learn, but a change will not convert an activated founding core entitlement into a paid one.
Intellectual property
We Are Eight Ltd and its licensors retain rights in the website, product, brand and original resource text. You may use the published resource methods internally for your building. You may not present ThreadGuard materials or the fictional sample as your own service or as a statement about a real building.
Availability and responsibility
Public pages and pilot features may be unavailable or change. Any support response or availability commitment must be agreed separately in writing. Keep access to the original professional reports and the records your organisation needs outside ThreadGuard while the pilot is being proved.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Signed-in product access is governed by a separate service agreement covering liability, suspension, termination and disputes. That agreement must be accepted before the first live building is admitted.
Law and changes
These website terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. We will date material changes and bring changes affecting a live founding arrangement to the relevant team's attention.
